Daring Way
I am a Certified Daring Way™ Facilitator-Candidate (CDWF-Candidate).
What you should know about my passion for The Daring Way™ work I do is this: I moved to Texas from Boston to be where this work emerged!
I, like so many people, was blown away when I watched the first viral 2010 TED talk on Vulnerability. The research on values, trust and shame resilience have been a game changers for me.
In The Daring Way™ process we unpack our difficult stories and use them to sort out our feelings and then can Rise Strong™ to become our own hero. My experience with attending and teaching The Daring Way™ and Rising Strong™ workshops has been deeply moving and exciting.
The Workshops
The way Brené has validated, organized, and packaged the difficult work of identifying and owning feelings has an elegance and ease of use not found in any other body of work.
Feelings and cognitions relate in a way that is revolutionary. We have been trying to change our thoughts (CBT) to address our emotions. It doesn’t work that way. The research shows that it is our feelings that drive behaviors; if we don’t address them, they define us.
POWERFUL! Effective! I believe we could change the world in a weekend if we all were able to attend a Rising Strong intensive as a global community.
Rising Strong and the Daring Way workshops give language and accessibility to topics that need to be recognized and dealt with.
Authenticity, courage, shame, trust, and how we numb and offload our pain onto others are topics that we unpack and explore.
We can heal the painful patterns that have been repeating, sometimes for generations, and destroying relationships and lives.
The Work
ABOUT THE DARING WAY™ – The Daring Way™ is a highly experiential methodology based on the research of Dr. Brené Brown. The method was designed for work with individuals, couples, families, work teams, and organizational leaders.
It can be facilitated in clinical, educational, and professional settings. During the process, facilitators explore topics such as vulnerability, courage, shame, and worthiness. Participants are invited to examine the thoughts, emotions, and behaviors that are holding them back and identify the new choices and practices that will move them toward more authentic and wholehearted living.
The primary focus is on developing shame-resilience skills and developing daily practices that transform the way we live, love, parent, and lead.

ABOUT RISING STRONG™
The physics of vulnerability is simple: If we are brave enough, often enough, we will fall.
Rising Strong is a book about what it takes to get back up and how owning our stories of struggle gives us the power to write a daring new ending. Struggle can be our greatest call to courage and the clearest path to a wholehearted life.
Here’s how Brené describes the progression of her work:
The Gifts of Imperfection – Be you.
Daring Greatly – Be all in.
Rising Strong – Fall. Get up. Try again.
Brené’s TED talk – The Power of Vulnerability – is one of the top five most viewed TED talks in the world, with over 25 million views.
